Drive around and look at the homes being built today. There is a ground swell of dissatisfaction and unrest about the quality and design of new homes; "McMansions", "Starter Castles," and "Tract homes on steroids", are words used to describe the big and misshapen houses being constructed today. The vast majority of new homes are poorly constructed with no sense of design. What's happened? Why is craftsmanship dead? Why can't homes be built to be charming and classic like the homes of the early 1920's and 30's?
The Home Design Show with Brent Hull tackles the issues that matter when constructing a home; choosing products and making good design choices that ensure a house makes sense. Using his 15+ years in construction, as well his training in historic preservation, Brent helps his audience with practical and sage advice.
The Home Design Show stresses high quality and purpose-driven design in new home building and remodeling. Brent brings a fresh voice and fresh perspective to both local talk-radio and podcast listeners. This will not be a "Mr. Fix-it or Handyman show", rather a meat and potatoes discussion about what building is all about. |
