Historic Millwork
  A popular talk given at Preservation and Restoration conferences across the country. Using many colorful and interesting pictures from historic millwork catalogs (many over 100 years old) this talk provides grounding in molding styles, interior design and historic interiors. This talk covers the period 1725-1950 and discusses how technology and styles work to create distinctive moldings and millwork. Other topics touched on include; classicism and classical design, specifying moldings and the proper use of moldings today.

  Based on research from historic trade catalogs and period books, this talk lays out interiors and rooms and how they were designed, built and installed. Classical design is reviewed and how to lay out a proper architectural interior. Dealing mainly with the architectural side of interiors, this talk deals with the proper use of molding and architectural design by period for different rooms of the house. Gain a clear view of historic interiors; how they are put together and how they can help with design today.

Winterthur- Architectural Interiors
  Based on Brent's extensive research at the Winterthur Museum for his forthcoming book, this talk uncovers period architectural interiors 1725-1840. Winterthur is the du Pont family home and country estate. Turned into a museum, it houses one of the finest collections of American antiques and historic interiors in the country. This talk centers on the wonderful collection of rooms from all across the Eastern Seaboard. Gain a broad sweeping view of historic interiors in this period.
